The Tram at Jackson Hole is on Schedule
Crews have been working 13 hours a day 6 days a week in order to have the new tram ready for operation in December 2008. According to the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, the tram is right on schedule. The new "box" is going to be bigger and faster than the old one and has locals and visitors alike extremely excited for its unveiling. The previous tram held 52 people and arrived at the top of Rendezvous Peak in 10.5 minutes. The new tram will double the capacity, holding 100 people and making the journey in 9 minutes. The Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is currently holding a contest that ends on November 13, 2008, offering 2 spots on the First Tram on opening day along with 2 airline tickets to Jackson Hole in addition to:
- Four nights lodging in Teton Village condominium through Jackson Hole Resort Lodging.
- Two 4-day adult lift tickets at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.
